Well i just got my mp15-22 on Thursday along with my ncstsar scope 3-9x. I went down to my local range here in dfw Elm Fork and had one of the range guys sight in the scope for me at the 50 yard range since i have never had a scope rifle before.

Well almost 500 rounds later it was a great trip to the range. I was hitting the 6 inch plate solidly from the bench. Just a little shakiness from have maybe a few to many drinks last night and the morning detox....... There was not a single problem with the gun i had cleaned it and then coated with some clp before and not one hiccup the entire time. Gotta love 500 rounds down range for about 12 bucks

I can see having a lot of fun with this with a few friends and a couple of bucks on shooting competition.

It's such a fun gun to shoot. I haven't put all that many shots downrange yet (around 1000) but I haven't had a single failure either. I use CCI Minimags, Stingers and Velocitors. CCI seems to love this rifle and I see no reason to switch.

I also have the NCStar 3x9 scope and after very minimal adjustment to sight it in it has been one great scope for the price.

No Surprise There

Having had my own for several weeks...and 900-1000 rounds of Federal Champion down range without 1 hiccup (yes, folks, the cheap stuff that works) I have to say it is the coolest gun to just have fun with....and it groups pretty well open sighted. Want to get some optic for it so I can go open or glass, so I'm glad to here that scope works well.

which ncstar 3x9 do you guys have? I'm looking to get an compact 3x9, i tried some out in person and looked clear at 9x. I looking the the compact rubber 3x9 or just the compact 3x9.

the ncstar i put on was the rubber armored mark III 3-9 x 42 with the P4 sniper view i think they may have sent me the model with a laser also which i did not expect but i am find with it. the model number is srtp3942g. I had a blast with it at 50 yards i think it would be good at 100 also but have not shot that far yet.

I have the Mark III Tactical (non rubber coated) it also came with a small red dot mounted on top of the scope for shorter distances. I think it is called the USS (ultimate sighting system). but you can purchase the scope without the red dot.

I saw that one on amazon last week for $94 shipped, i'm wishing i would of ordered it now, it's back up to $130. Do you guys feel that the focus clear at 9x?

i dont think i ever had it up to 9x maybe 6 or 7 and it was clear.

My son and I put about 500 rounds downrange last weekend and we tried the scope at various zoom settings including the 9X. It seemed very clear to us. You almost have to have a bipod or some kind of rest at that setting unless you can keep it on target better than we could. We ended up using a bipod resting on a card table to keep the sight picture steady.

BTW, $94 shipped is a killer deal. I gave the $130 but I am happy with it so far.

I also got to fire my first machine gun! A MAC 10. At 1100 rounds per minute it doesn't take long to empty a 30 rnd clip of .45 acp but that's another story.
