First shoot!

Got to shoot my Sport yesterday and I am impressed with the rifle but not with the Truglo red dot. The Truglo couldn't handle the recoil. There was a "ghost" image of the inside making it annoying. Took the sight off and shot iron sights at 40 yds. Put about 200 rds thru it with no malfunctions, it handled flawlessly. Once I got myself adjusted to it I was able to put all rounds within a 6" target. I return shipped the Truglo back to Amazon today for a refund and ordered another red dot. Since I'm on a budget I ordered the Vortex Strikefire. About double the Truglo price but still under $200, the max I wanted to spend.

ya... the truglow probably just too LIGHT for the Sport....

I had an inexpensive 3x7 Scope... worked well... but would always UNSCREW from its rail..... So put my redfield Tracker Scope on for Long Distance.... not 1 issue yet....

Ive looked at those vortex... look nice.... but i really like the Reflex Sites.... Maybe a EOtech some day

Since you are on a budget I have heard that the Bushnell trs-25 is excellent for ~$95

I have the Vortex.....awesome sight for the money 4"groups at 50 yds. with these old eyes and 1" group with the 2x multiplier.

I'll have to remember to get photos next time. I'm shooting PMC Bronze, 55 gr. I got what I thought was a good deal on them. $4.99 for 20.

I have a Tru Glo red dot on my Sport and it has worked really good, no problems. But then again I don't fully depend on anything operated by a battery. I still Have 100% co-witness BUIS, just in case.
