US women's basketball team beat Japan for its seventh consecutive Olympic gold medal. Well done! For Japan, winner of the Silver, it was their first medal in basketball.

I have also been a huge fan and supporter of the Olympics for most of my 60+ years. This year, I couldn't bring myself to watch.

I was never that big on Olympics fan except the "Miracle on Ice", my wife was an avid fan and watched everything she could, but now, for the first time in her life, has zero interest.

I haven't watched anything either for the first time. I'm of the opinion that I don't want to see the politics potentially. I have seen a few news headlines and the athletes that are proud to represent the US have my respect and appreciation.
