Fit target trigger to Pre 14

I'm looking at a pre Model 14 that has a target hammer but is currently wearing a trigger shoe, suggesting it does not have a target trigger.

My question is how much work is it to fit a used .400 trigger? I'm seeing them on fleabay for $40-50.

Some triggers drop in and some have to be fit. If you know what you are doing, it's an easy job. If you don't - get the Jerry Kunhausen S&W shop manual first.

I'd make SURE the one on fleabay has not been cut or filed on. If it has been, pass!
