A little trivia on the Pontiac V-8. It was first introduced in 1955 as a 287 cubic inch engine (I had one). Over the ensuing years it "grew" to 326, 350, 389, 400, 421, and finally, 455. All with the same "large block" (although smallish for a typical "large block"). 287 to 455!! Seems like the engineers built a little "expandability" into their design. John

I only ever managed a 65 Bonneville with a 421. It was a land yacht and a road hog, but it was powerful. Aquamarine with Aquamarine metallic interior.
