I own and shoot a Uberti SA Cattleman and a Uberti 1873 Winchester rifle both chambered in .45 Colt. I have shot both Ultramax Cowboy loads and Goex Black Dawge cartiridges. I think the Goex rounds were extremely entertaining. More kick, more boom (louder and deeper), and lots of smoke. Loads of fun to be had here. Of course being black powder rounds, the Goex leaves behind a bunch of residue to put it mildly. But it is cleaned up very easily with Hoppes #9 Black Powder Solvent.

I cannot speak of accuracy because any gun I own is much better than I am. I don't know FPS or any of that other stuff I've read about. I do know I was hitting 16 oz. tomato sauce cans at 25 yards with the rifle with great results.

The end of the Goex box reads: 45 L. Colt 235 Gr RNFP Blk. Powder.

Of course your mileage may vary, but I love it.

I have a Model 25 on the way and will shoot both regular and the Goex rounds thru it. I also have a box of .44 Special Goex that I'm going to try in my Model 29.

Anyone have any experience with the Goex rounds?

I have loaded and fired a number of BP rounds and came to the conclusion that I have a lot more fun shooting my guns than I do cleaning them after BP.

So, if your around let me know cuz I have a ton of BP to get rid of
