I found and EXCELLENT replacement. Small lightweight and Easy to pocket.

They eject positively and puts the rounds in the cylinder with authority like the SL's. I really like them. The difference with the jetloaders is all rounds eject on one spring (its that big spring in photo) instead of individual springs on the SL's. ( which are in each cartridge holder )

Same size as the SL's when locked in place, lightweight and low enough profile to work with all the stocks I have had on my J. Fit in my front pocket with out a lot of bulk. True to the claim they will put the rounds in the cylinder vertical. Fires them in.

In my opinion: THE BEST two loaders for j frames bar none.

They are also imported so I suggest buying some now in case they too dry up like the SL Variants. Don't miss the boat on these.

Link to buy:

JetLoader SpeedLoaders

I am buying some for my K, and L frames as well. That is how much I like them. I should have bought more of the SL variants when I had the chance, I am not making the same mistake with these.

Just thought I would share.

I have been practicing with these and I am very happy. I think I found my new favorite loader!

It is a little wider than the SL Variant but has one spring as opposed to 5 springs and clips.

I carry in my front pocket next to my wallet so the length is perfect

I like spring loaded over gravity drop twists.

The safariland comp1s are great too but too short, the SL and jetloader give a better purchase on the loader especially when going in at an angle.... under stress..... on the small jframe check the video below.

Here is a video I made showing them all being loaded, reloaded into the J, the angles, and the measured widths.

I do prefer those to the HKS and Comp1s. Comp1s are my second favorite and I have never tried the SLs.

The more I use the jetloader. The more I love it.

HKS is what I own, but only used them briefly. I taught myself (with daily drills) to reload from a Kramer Horsehide belt pouch. It is much flatter, easier to carry, almost disappears in the Black color mine is, and holds the cartridges sturdy enough to load them quickly and efficiently as fast if not faster than I could do with a speed loader. I'm sure if I practiced as much with a speed loader as I have with the pouch I could improve times, but again, I never liked carrying ammo in a speed loader for concealment. My M60-7 wears custom grips and they are slightly beefier than the Factory stocks - therefore a speed loader is a bit awkward for me. IMHO which ever method you want to use for your reload - just make sure you practice often. Sort of like "be wary of the man who only owns one gun" theory!

Recently, my relatively new Sig P365 EDC eliminated the need for reloading 5 individual cartridges. ;)
