Those who have followed Red Nichol's writing, know that he owns Tom Threeperson's original holster. Tom gave his holster to a young boy at a rodeo. Many years later, the boy had grown to an old man and passed away. Red acquired the holster from his widow. Red believed, with sufficient evidence, that the holster was made by A. B. Egland.

Just about 5 years ago, Red made reproductions of the Threeperson's holster. I was lucky enough for Red to give me the proto-type. He called me a lucky b..., and I guess I am. The holster is, and has been, one of my most prized possessions.

The Forum and members have given me so much support with the sale of my books and holsters, and so many have "liked" my posts that I just wanted to give something back.

So, I am auctioning the proto-type of Red Nichol's re-production of Tom Threeperson's holster. I don't believe Red will mind. I will allow the bidding to go for a week or so. When it slows down I will close the bidding. The winner can send the winning bid funds to me, and I will send it (100%) to the Forum. And I will pay the shipping.

Here are a few photos. It is made for Colt's Single Action Army, or clones, with 4.75" barrel. Bid away and good luck!

A bump was all I could afford, And barley at that

Fred you are supposed to BID! Not Bump!

John, as my staid old-line banker mentioned to me the other day. "Bubba you be broker than a convict." Ya might want to think about watching your expenses for the next few months:eek:

Not much action the past couple of days. I will let it run through the
weekend, and on Monday close the auction and declare a winner.

It is time to close this auction. Our lucky winner is 6518John.
I will send you a PM John for what comes next.

The ending bids exceeded my expectation, but I do appreciate all
of you who participated in the auction. I am sure the Forum will
appreciate the proceeds. Red should be proud too.

By the way John, your holster has been hanging on my wall the past 5
years, what I call the honor wall. Photo on the left. I never wanted to
lay out a couple of grand for a real SAA, so I have always used the non-
firing replica from Collector's Armory shown 2nd from left. 3rd from left
shows my SAA replica in your new Red Nichols holster. Another good
source for replicas is Denix. My 7.5" model is with a Hunter holster
shown at 4th from left. And finally the Denix in a Eubanks holster.
Congratulations John, I hope you enjoy the holster.
