I've been looking for something unique for a long time and I think I finally found it. Picked up this 627 today. I knew something was different, took some digging but finally figured out what it was and it followed me home. Thanks to the old forum posts on here that helped me put the pieces together. The product code 170102 and the yoke stamp 627-PC and the 6 1/2" barrel all lined up. It's missing the nut for the grip hardware but I wasn't too concerned about that, otherwise looks to have been taken care of. Enjoy and thanks for the info on this forum!

Congrats, that's a dandy. I don't think I'm the only one that wants to know the price, but if I am, I admit being a nosey ***. :)
Seriously though, I'd like to own one so I try to keep up with what the current market is.

Awesome choice. I have been shooting my 627 in Steel Challenge competition since 2012 and love it!

$740 out the door. All in all I think it was a pretty good day :)

Congrats on landing the dirt cheap (1 of 200) PC627.
Wish i hadn't sold mine.

I was calling the line at a local match and a shooter was using his long barrel 627. He bought it new, and let me look at it after the stage run.
A really nice gun that gets shot. I did explain to him that certain guns have appreciated in value, and this is one. Big time!

Thanks! Funny thing is what's at the very top of my list is the companions (the 38 and virtually non-existent 25) for my non-model marked 4 screw K-22. Can never seem to find much, although I do not look obsessively either. Then this comes along, way too sweet to pass on. Great.... another fork in the road!

very nice

indeed an awsome score. I have been looking for that paticular piece for some time, beleive it has a gold bead front sight as well for an added bonus, congrats on that price too, I would have paid double that price to take that beauty home,

Yes it has the gold front sight. I knew I got a good deal but I didn't think I got that good of a deal. I'll take a lucky break every once in awhile!

One note, I did figure out the earlier observation on the grip hardware, the screw had been put it from the wrong side so that was a simple fix.

Took it out today, put a couple boxes through it plinking steel tanks to try it out and it was really fun shooting a revolver again!

One of my friends has got one like yours.IBoth he and I know that it ain't supposed to be used as a ISU(one hand)shooting gun But he tried it as such at 20 yds with target WC and placed 6 out of 8 in the same hole, the other 2 being barely 1/2'' away from the main group. He was using my reloads.I asked him if he'd sell me the gun...he answered asking if I'd sell him my reloads!
Qc

If you send an email to Lew Horton they will send you a nice letter to print out to put with the gun if the serial number you give them is one of theirs.

Wow, just wow...
The 6 1/2" was a very scarce version of the original M627 PC guns... I've never seen one in person, and have only seen a couple pics of it as well.
This one eluded me over the years, all the other barrel lengths were fairly easy to get (except the 8" of course :))

BTW - you paid about 15-20% of what I'd expect that to cost on a national website like Gunbroker.

Congrats...

Wow that's an amazing collection there! And thanks for the info on the value. Like I said I knew it was a good deal but I really had no idea it was that crazy since I couldn't find one to compare it to. Almost enough to make me a little nervous

Those pictures make me drool every time I see them , especially, that 7+ inch 627, that one will forever elude me in my quest for 627 slab sides, Yes the 627 you aquired is a very desirable gun due to no lock, barrel length, gold bead, and what some may call an engineering flaw on the hammer being 1/8 inch setback, I would definitely take good care of it and shoot it sparingly, . if and when you decide to sell, well Ill double what you paid. enjoy that beauty they dont make them like that anymore.
