Found another S&W today

I purchased a S&W Combat Masterpiece K-38 in 38 special with a 4" barrel. I want the wife to move up to this when she is ready.

Can she handle the DA revolver? Due to her smaller hands and less strength my wife cannot shoot a DA revolver.

My wife shoots all DA revolvers double action so far. I have smaller grips for it just incase. Good suggestion thanks.

Since the greatest revolvers are getting harder to find this ones a keeper. I been wanting to collect S&W N frames "new" ones in 357mag and 41mag and 44mag but when these older gems come along i lose control of my wallet.

Brenda was in a motorcycle accident and shattered her left arm but she can still manage to shoot a Model 18-4 22LR and that's her self defense weapon.

When we first got married (38 years ago) I took my misses shooting and she shot my ruger police service six in 357mag. She had no problem shooting it. She had no interest in guns till her and my two sons want to get there CCW license now.

I let my misses shoot my ruger police service six in 357mag using 38 specials when we first were married('74). At 25yds she missed the target completely. She took my scoped 22WMR marlin rifle and put 10rds in the bullseye at 100yds. All these many years she wasn't interested in guns. She took the CCW course and found out she needs to use her left eye when aiming. Now she doesn't miss. I think the louder bang in the larger calibers scares her more right now. I'd like to get her to shoot the 357mag and 45acp(1911) then throttle her back to the S&W K38 combat masterpiece in 38 special to carry it.

Bill the Model 18 is a mirror image of the Model 15 but in .22lr.
I usually let friends shoot that and get comfortable then step them up
to the .38 version so they are comfortable,

If they are comfortable with the 15 I may step them up to the Model 19.

Since she took the CCW permit course I purchased a taurus m94 in 22lr for her to practice with. I also have the larger frame smiths and colts 22lr's also.

As much as I dislike them, Pachmyer and Hogue make some nice sized finger
groove grips for the K frame.

They do help with the ladies smaller hands.

I keep a couple of sets around just for teaching the ladies how to shoot. After cleaning I change back to wood....
