A Gander Mountain opened 15 miles from me on May 20th and I have been in the store on a couple of occasions to peruse their
guns and ammo sections. Really set up well and stocked very well.
All of the major firearm brands are represented and they have a decent used gun section as well. Lots of ammo when i went in at the end of May but alas, no 22 rimfire. Talked to a sales associate and he said to hit them up on June 6 on the Grand Opening sale. So i had been watching the paper for the flyer on the sale to see what might be offered.
Got to the store saturday at 7:30 am for the 8 am opening.
I was number 74 person in line at that point as they handed out tickets. When the doors opened at 8 am the first 100 people we're given a 10 dollar gift card and they had a table of free stuff upon entering also, lanyards, can coolers, fish rulers, etc.... If you opened a rewards program with them you also got 10 dollars of your purchases this day.
I picked up a brick of Federal 40 gr. for 24 bucks and change and also 500 CCI minimag 36 gr. hollowpoints at 7 bucks per hundred.
After checkout upon showing receipt i was given a nice pair of wrap around sunglasses.
So after the 20 bucks was taken off my purchase i got into some .22Lr at a very reasonable price.
Not a bad morning for standing in line for 30 minutes.
And, i will be shooting these with my grandson and not trying to sell them.
