I'm new. Hope this is OK. I had Fred Schmidt build a PPC/combat-style revolver for me in the mid 80s, with his short cylinder. What I'm trying to find out is whether his guns have 'collectible' value above the value of the useable gun? It's a well worn, though not worn out gun with lots of life left. I know about what it might be worth as a gun to use.
Some out of town competitors are coming to our small town this week end and one of them was interested. I'm hoping for a fair deal, if there's a transaction. Much depends on whether Fred's guns, because of craftsmanship or design, have collector value???
