From Here to Omaha - College Baseball tournament

Two takeaways:

1: Although disappointed with the outcome, baseball has fulfilled its task and entertained me thoroughly.

2: Every Razorback will be reliving "The Pop-Up" all off season.

Bummer - but with the way Abel was pitching tonight, Arkansas had little chance.

Sorry that Arkansas has not won the CWS in nine appearances - and more sorry that my Bulldogs have not won the CWS in ten appearances. Maybe next year.

I also agree that college baseball has entertained me during the tournament and CWS - have seen some good baseball with some crazy and improbable things happening. I like pro baseball but I seldom keep up with it during the season. I find college baseball so much entertaining.

Now I am waiting on college football - just a couple of months.

The Razorbacks have no reason to hang their heads they had a great season and should be proud of their accomplishments.

The "Pop Up" is a cruel part of the game that rears its ugly head every season and sinks even the best teams.

Last year for LSU it was Eric Walker getting hurt during the CWS. Had he not gotten hurt Florida would have had to face him and Alex Lange in the championship round. They were able to beat LSU in two games and never saw Lange. Oh well, another "What If".

Just think,if Ole Miss had held up their end of the bargain there would have been four SEC teams in the tournament. It wouldn't have been the first time the SEC had four teams representing the conference at the CWS. This just speaks to the strength of SEC baseball. So again be proud Arkansas.

Now on to football and what is getting to be a tiring question. Can anyone dethrone BAMA?

Yep!!

Oregon State played a great series and Congratulations to the team and fans. It was decided on the field where it should be, not by sportswriters, coaches, polls, and committees.
