I've posted this for sale locally (Tulsa) ... shipping the lot would be a bear...but what the heck. It's a rare bird; some of you may enjoy seeing it.
I have the following for sale:
Colt 1911 Series 80 (Model O923E) with factory 9x23 and 38 Super barrels. It has been customized by a previous owner with Videcki trigger, Wilson rear sight, grip safety, thumb safety, and hammer. It has been finished in Birdsong's Black-T, including three factory mags (two marked 9x23 and one marked 38 Super) and has ebony checkered grips.
One addition Chip McCormick 38 stainless steel 38 Super magazine.
Original Colt Medallion wrap-around rubber grips.
Original blue plastic Colt box marked for Model O923E . If there was an outer sleeve for it, I don't have it.
14.8 boxes of 9x23 WWB
5 boxes of 9x23 Silvertip
Lyman 9x23 dies
In the pictures, there appears to be a little finish chipping on the right side. That must have been dust or lint because I can't find it on examination of the gun. The only finish wear externally is a little bit on the recoil spring plug. The gun looks better in person than in pictures. I have shot it exactly once and it shot fine. It is a safe queen and the only reason I am offering it for sale is I don't really need a safe queen. I am asking $1600 for the lot. It's a nice piece; I'll go a three day inspection on it.
Please contact me at km683-at-yahoo.com if interested. Thanks
