I would not count on it. Things could fundementally change. In other countries you can have registered guns but you can only buy ammo as you use it.

That is one of the gun control approaches being discussed in liberal circles. Some liberals I know actually suggest you can only by 50 rounds a month in an caliber.

In NY we are REALLY getting worried. A lot of people travel to israel and europe and understand how to really mess with gun owners.

There is NO ammo in stock most places I go because people are buying. We do NOT believe we will get to buy the same amount of ammo at anything like the same prices again.

Also, the number of places to buy ammo is expected to drastically decrease.

You guys do NOT understand what the gun control fanatics are trying to do to us... If Obama and Feinstien have their way last year will be the good old days.

I think this could happen in the US, but not this year. In some States, yes. I think that the grabbers are trying to sway public opinion for future Federal elections, starting in 2014. They need the House and 60 votes in the Senate to get the legislation they really want, and, in the long term, the Supreme Court. That is just one Justice away! The President will do what he can with "executive privilege", but that is fairly limited, at least until they control the Court. The best I can do is make sure that I have enough components for my needs after the current frenzy is past. I am not too confident that my grandsons will know what it is like to live in a free society. I just don't know how much time we are talking about.

I have been greatly un-impressed with the Gander Mt. near me. Selection so-so at best and prices are nothing to write home about. I'll be a happy camper when the new Bass Pro opens right up the street.

I just checked their flyer for the columbus location. Seems theyre having a big ammo sale and have pretty good prices on the stuff, but Im sure its all been hoarded up by now and/or resold for double. Their gun prices seem to be insane though! They want 80 bucks more on a shotgun that my lgs has that Im interested in.
