I don't know just now. I'm askeert to look! I can remember being in Southern California in the early 60s. Gas wars were common. I once saw gas for 7 cents a gallon. My little Chevy Corvair Monza had a 10 gallon tank. Filled it up from nearly bone dry for about 66 cents. I guess that old train has done left the station!

No. Not gouging. Do you watch prices at all. Oil is 115.00 a barrel now. Look before you speak.
Do you know what it was a week ago?
If oil from Russia gets sanctioned, look for 6-7 a gallon.

This is a price WE, as Americans living in a free society can pay to help Democracy, if that's what it comes to.

Or you can feel free to do This as well.'I Just Can't Stand By': American Veterans Join the Fight in Ukraine

I think it's helps our Democracy if we are dependent on no one but ourselves. Perhaps you don't remember we were doing that just a little over a year ago.

Depending on the oil of despots does not help us be a better Democracy.

Northeast Tennessee it's currently around $3.69, and climbing about every day. Seems like about time to reopen the Keystone pipeline. I'm sure the White House will float that idea about election time later this year and hope we don't remember they are the ones that shut it down.

I paid $3.13 for regular yesterday at Costco in Cedar Park TX

EDIT:Using the Citi Bank Costco Visa Card gets 4% back in rewards on gasoline purchases at Costco.

To paraphrase Johnny Cash, $3.39 and rising. The last I knew we only
imported about 10% of our oil from Russia, but we export more than that
to the world. What is wrong with that picture?
Maybe if we all cut back driving our gas hogs part of our problem would
be solved.

Yesterday I went through town. When I came back 2 hours later it had gone up 10 cents. All well over 4 bucks.

We are told that we import ONLY 10% of our oil from Russia. But to Russia that could be anywhere from 30-40% of their oil exports so therefore full sanctions will work. What are we waiting for??????

I think I recently read that Italy was 100% energy dependent on them and Germany 50%. Someone correct me if wrong, but if so that is where the prices would fly for the world if oil is sanctioned.

I guess we could try to look at it as our own personal contribution to Freedom and Democracy. We don't have to like it, but the world is stepping up, and that means we all need to do what we can, and take some pain if that is. what is needed to help defeat Tyranny.

OUR Country was built on a lot of pain and a lot gave their lives so we could live like we are able to live.

I'll d my part and take some pain.

This isn't meant as a rant to your post. Just maybe a way for us to look at what's going on that can help us better accept some of it.

Things that were done that hurt our own energy independence before all this happened, I am not speaking on, if ya know what I mean.....

And if you don't want to pay more for gas, maybe you'd like to step up and do what these guys are doing. Most of them probably won't come home. ( I started a thread with this in the lounge)
God Bless all of them that do this- They are true Americans that are willing to pay the ultimate sacrifice if it comes to that- for the Freedom of strangers.

American veterans are heading to Ukraine to join the country's fight against Russia: report

.... NZ$3.06/US$4.43.7 per litre for 91 octane, our lowest. $3.38.0/$4.91.5 for 98, our "premium" fuel.

With respect, I think you transposed the exchange rate. Right now, 1 New Zealand dollar equals 69 US Cents. So...$4.437 per liter equals $3.06 US Dollars...and since it takes 3.785 liters to make one US gallon, we are looking at either $11.58 per gallon for regular, and $12.83 per gallon for premium. Ouch!
