Hi Guys,
I've been a lurker for a little while and read posts where I thought I could contribute so... here I am, I've joined. ::eek:

I'd just like to comment on how lucky you guys in the US are, you're spoilt with the variety of wheel guns that you can collect, it's tough work down here and the prices, by comparison, are out of this world. I've been looking at 29-3 for $1500.. yes you read that right.
I'm the proud owner of 617-4, a 686-3 with adjustable front sites and a 1963 Model 41. ( well tha's how the serial number reads )
I look forward to reading what you guys have to say and being able to chime in when I can.
Cheers
Wheely.

Yo, Wheely...after the big crackdown on Australian gun rights I'm surprised they still let you even keep knives, forks and spoons. How'd you wind up with a couple of big-bore revolvers?

Hey Joe and the rest of you guys, thanks for the welcome.

Oh they do let keep plastic knives, forks and spoons... haha.

Owning a handgun down here has always been tough, but you can still do it if you're prepared to belong to a pistol club and participate in competitions.. and of course jump through the hoops neccessary, as for license to carry, not much chance at all.
We need a seperate endorcement on your license for anything bigger than a .38, it's tough but you can do it, for a .45 you need to compete in silhouete events.
So,, think how luck you are , and just hope nothing becomes of the latest ramblings on "control"
Cheers mate

I suppose there's been little or no attempt to reverse the draconian gun laws enacted in your country. We Yanks can only hope cooler heads prevail here.
Anyway, Wheely, welcome to the forum where you will find many new friends including me. God bless and Happy New Year!

Welcome from Las Vegas.
Visited Sydney a few years. Great prawns and the most friendly people.
Would love to return there.

No attempt at all, and not likley that it would get very far anyway.
It's getting to the point where soon they will be asking for the registration papers of handguns when you buy ammunition you can only purchase the calibers of the guns you own.
Please take pity on our pour souls.
