GET THEM BEFORE THEY GO ALL I CAN SAY

I have never seen a game warden come on our property, there really is no public access. In order to set up a "legal" range you would have to declare it on the insurance and from what I understand the insurance would go WAY up! We have discussed putting a rifle range there. It is almost 1300 acres. But my Uncles will probably get it sold before the end of the year, I will go to a friends house who's granddad has about the same but he is further off of the beaten path!!

here is some information on your concern Zip. Hope this kind of explains it. Oregon Firearms Federation . Now I can speak from experience of living outside of city ordinance in NC. To this day I know people who have law enforcement out at their property to also do leisure shooting off duty as well as military. Now the other edge of this sharp edge is this. As I understood while living in this area, the sheriff department is and Wildlife Officials can come onto the property if you are also using property as hunting grounds. If you are just casually shooting on a make shift range then you are pretty much on your own. Same can be said if somehow you start a fire. Local FD is at the discretion to respond. Sad but true. Maybe someone in FD can chime in on this one.

Very interesting yet not surprising. So many ways "issues" can be approached if they want to. Hence that's why I'll take the approach I mentioned. I know in our area the can upon digression come onto my property if they see or someone else reports smoke. I also know if my fire is contained (fire ring or barrel) and safe I'm good. Just have to apply common sense IMO. I'm not going to push limits if it means potentially losing what I need and can't replace. Im not usually a "dot the I's" person but if the worst happens I guess I will be in that regard.

I am right there with you Zip. No need to give more ammunition ( no pun intended) for them to come and mess with anyone by being stubborn. I know that like Oneye said its generally a hassle to set up sanction ranges but they are really coming up in the rural NC area. I can imagine the insurance and liability is probably being monitored more now anyways because everyone wants their piece of the pie these days. Just be safe

Being stubborn will mean being disarmed if this all passes. Lets pray it doesn't. Whatever passes will be an assault on everything folks in service uphold...the preservation of the Constitution and the freedom of all citizens.

Yeah we are sitting here wearing the uniform everyday fighting for the same rights ( as well as other countries rights i might add that we gladly arm their citizens with and train) but once we get back stateside they have deemed us not fit to be able to own a firearm... I know i speak for plenty of guys serving with me that we have definitely voiced our opinions as much as our Oath shall allow us. Now it is the waiting game for us.

Many thanks. I like them so I am on the list to be notified when they get back in stock. Thanks again.

Bing what you want by exact description and better yet mfg model number. I did that for the 10 rd version D&H mags and had to click links through page 5 or so before I found some. They could be elsewhere in stock, :) good luck and you are most welcome.

I did read sometimes you need to take a fine sandpaper to the feed lips to knock off burrs and not scratch your brass. Only real negative I read about em... I'm looking forward to mine for the range.

Firstly sir I'd like to thank you for serving! I also have a close friend who's son is currently serving in Afghanistan and he faces the same thing. Ironically SO unfair. But really aren't we ALL being deemed unfit? You guys just get the double whammy which makes it even worse.

Maybe they were drinking too much...I have yet to hear of a pmag that wouldnt fit into a S&W M&P15...."used car salesmen dont always tell the truth" :D

Never thought I'd be happy my credit card got compromised but in this case I am.

Just after the horrible act - I placed an order at Brownell's for 10 30rd pmags - that night my Visa company called to tell me they had to close my account because of suspicious activity earlier that day. It turned out to be a good thing as someone was trying to buy videogames at gamestop.com with my card number. The next business day I called Brownell's to tell them about it and they thanked me. I figured that was the end of it and I'd lost out on my order as they were now totally out of stock. I found Topgunsupply had pmags in stock but only in FDE - so I ordered 5 of them and 3 more 13's for my Glock 23 with another card (much to my wife's chagrin as it was one we don't normally use) and they shipped right out - so I felt somewhat vindicated even though I was still waiting on my replacement Visa from the one that got compromised. Last week - Brownell's emailed me that my card kept being refused - so I called and re-explained it to them - they asked if I still wanted my original order and if I wanted to update my CC info. I was in shock. The girl said they had already "picked and packed" my order and it was in shipping waiting to go out and they were just waiting on my CC to go through. I said heck yea I wanna update it - so now I got my original 10 pmags for $125 plus the additional 5 from Topgunsupply (who is also a great online vendor). Loving Brownells! :D

As did mine. Maybe bravo company had greater inventory of other magazines. lol

I have such a mixed bag of Mags, but they all work. Dikinalaska I have looked at the Surefire mags and really wanted one of those big ones but was too cheap to buy one. Thats why I only have one Pmag, the one that came with my Sport. Does that 60 round mag work well? I could hunt for a month with one Mag load! :D

It works flawless as long as you're running brass. The steel cases have too much friction for the complexity of the mag. It's essentially 2 double-stack mags that neck into one. It's an awesome design. But where the 2 neck down to one, the steel cases rub too much on each other since there's essentially 4 rounds trying to mix together at the same time. Haven't had a single issue running brass though.

I used to run old mags on boat duty.... that is what they issued. When we would get one that was hinky, there was an instant fix: Baby powder.
I load stripper clips with steel. Lots, and lots and lots of them. As I load ammo, I put it loose in a bucket/ tub/ tupperware bowl, and sprinkle baby powder on the load of ammo. It keeps any and all oils off the cases. It is a perfect dry lube on your ammo. It keeps your hands from getting sweaty and sticky on the ammo.
If you have a magazien that hangs up, regardless of ammo, try the baby powder. I bet the problem clears up.
(For the technologically overachiever types, dry teflon lube spray does the same thing, though it does not do quite as good a job with regards to sweating hands.)
Ha! The things you learn loading 2,000 stripper clips a year by hand!!!:D

Magpul PMAGS

Ordered two 30's (backorder) and two 20's (preorder) from Brownells on Friday - went back to site on Sunday to order another round and NO CAN DO. They say they are honoring previous orders though....that was close. Now at least I'll have 4 brand new EMPTY mags.
