I used to run old mags on boat duty.... that is what they issued. When we would get one that was hinky, there was an instant fix: Baby powder.
I load stripper clips with steel. Lots, and lots and lots of them.As I load ammo, I put it loose in a bucket/ tub/ tupperware bowl, and sprinkle baby powder on the load of ammo. It keeps any and all oils off the cases. It is a perfect dry lube on your ammo. It keeps your hands from getting sweaty and sticky on the ammo.
If you have a magazien that hangs up, regardless of ammo, try the baby powder. I bet the problem clears up.
(For the technologically overachiever types, dry teflon lube spray does the same thing, though it does not do quite as good a job with regards to sweating hands.)

I'll have to try that! It's nice running the cheap steel cases through my slidefire because, well let's face it, with that the cheaper the ammo the better. Thank you
