Getting back into reloading and casting

I quit casting about 20 years ago. At the time I tried to use pure lino if I could get it. It makes very good hard bullets that are suitable for magnum velocities. Best groups I ever shot were in a 44 mag. with lino bullets. I used a Lyman lubrisizer and synthetic or Alox lube. I haven't shot much in the last few years but I was buying cast and plated bullets. Mag. loads were eithe left over lino or jacketed loads. Good luck, have fun.

One major caution that was not mentioned, Water!!!!! One drop in a full hot pot of lead will explode with enough force to blow ALL the lead to the ceiling of a 10' room! your RCBS is a 23 pound capacity I believe. Ask me how I learned that. I also had a june bug fly into a pot, emptyed it! Western felt hat, long sleves and gloves! Never got burned either time. I use beeswax for flux and javelina 50-50 for bullet lube when it was available. On line you will find White Label 50-50 bullet lube and I have been using that for a year. I'm happy so far. Be Safe! Have Fun!!!!! DAMDAN
