I like Hi-Powers, and have had several over the years. I still have 3 Inglis models, but I sold my last modern one, a MKIII, about 15 years ago. I just got this Girsan today. I'm pleasantly surprised so far. For a $500 pistol, it seems well made, and even with the magazine disconnect, the trigger is not bad. It's heavy, but the let-off is crisp. We'll see how it runs. I dug out my old Milt Sparks in hopes that it can be carried on occasion.

The trigger on mine shows 7-7.5 pounds on my cheap trigger scale, but as you said, it feels a lot lighter because it breaks so clean. I didn't think I'd like the FDE color, or the plain black grips, but the color has grown on me, and the grips surprised me by being really comfortable.
I've only done a couple hundred rounds through it, but there have been no malfunctions of any kind with either FMJ or HP ammo.

Bought one in July, have been shooting it every range session. The Girsan IMO is a good value. I like everything about mine, I have several BHP's and the Girsan out of the box has a good trigger comparatively and is every bit as accurate and reliable as the Brownings.
I was a bit skeptical of the ramped front sight, but with the white highlight on it, find it quite easily and I like it.

One gun I have never owned is a HP, and I have given some thought to buying one of the modern knockoffs. But then I think about all the 9mms I already have that I seldom if ever use.

I haven't gotten the P35 yet, but my Girsan Regard Six is every bit as nicely made, as reliable, and as accurate as any of the several Beretta 92's that have passed thru my gun safe.

I got my Girsan 35 Match yesterday and ran it today along side my S. A. 35 and my 1990 BHP this morning. The BHP was sent off to Cylinder and Slide back in the early / mid '90s for the full C&S upgrade.
Hands down , the BHP is the best shooter. BarSto Barrel, the C&S Sear Lever Conversion, trigger, NP3 finish , stippling; all of them combine to make an excellent match grade gun from that era.
The S. A. 35 is OK for what it is. I cleaned up the extraction issues and it runs fine now.
The Girsan 35 Match functioned failure free for over 100 rounds today right out of the box. I like the sight set up, the fit and finish is equal to the S. A. 35. and the Girsan has a much better trigger feel than the S.A.

I like the sight set-up also. As always, I add a drop to orange nail polish to my front sight but that's just something I do with most of my handguns...well all of them, except for a Canik with a red dot on it.
I 100% agree. My Regard Six is by far my favorite 92 I've ever owned.
