Glock 19 or M&P 9mm

And what is wrong with getting opinions from multiple sources about a topic that I know less about? Shouldn't I collect as much data before I make a decision?

YES!! I do the same thing. And I have not found that the folks replying to my questions here are biased....at least not all of them. I recently went through the process of choosing an addition to my collection. I wanted a mid-sized, double stack 9mm with specific dimensions in mind. I viewed several reviews, and asked specific questions on this and other gun forums. After reading all that, I got a MUCH better feel for what I really wanted and needed. You've done nothing most of us would do....the poster to whom you refer was a bit "over the top" IMO.

100% agree I just like to gather as much information as possible making a decision of this magnitude.

I have a glock 19, and M&P 9, and an XD-9. Never been happy with the way glocks fit my hand so I've gravitated away from them.

Unbiased? I'd recommend the M&P. Just my opinion and for $400 I'd have bought that on sight. Lol

I carry a M&P 9mm Shield, a Springfield 9mm XDS, and infrequently, my one and only Glock, a model 42 (380 ACP). I much prefer the trigger and feel of the Shield over the Springfield, although I admit the latter is a bit more accurate at 25 feet. The Glock, which is brand new, is a fantastic little pistol! Love its trigger also. Not sure if all Glocks are like that, however, just as I am not sure all Shields have the very nice trigger mine has. The XDS, which is the most expensive pistol in this group, has the worst trigger IMO, and I tend to shoot and carry it less than the Shield. That seems to run counter to what most would say.....at least most of the gun reviews I've read all seem to drool over the Springfield's trigger. Maybe mine is an exception?

I just ordered another pistol. This time I wanted a double stack 9mm, but a compact, not a sub-compact which is what I consider the others above. I ordered a M&P 9c model after considering a Glock 19, Springfield XDM and a few others. I rejected the Glock based on its slide length, price and mainly its looks (let's be honest, Glocks are UGLY! <g>), and rejected the Springfield on its weight and price. Hope the 9c's trigger is as good as my Shield's!

I'm probably biased here somewhere.....but not sure where!:o
