Glock Glock Glock

Awesome thread. I posted one about being sick of Kimber ads and people freaked out liked I was kicking their kids. At least most Glock owners have a sense of humor.

I traded all my Glocks for Kimbers.:D

.....I WOULD RATHER HAVE A JENNINGS ARMS OVER A FREEKING GLOCK....LOL

Let yer emotions get the better of ya. Just funnin'. I have exactly one 2nd gen Glock 17. Haven't shot it in 7 or 8 years. I have no doubt I could put 33 in one of my "extra cap" mags and blast away until the gun weighs half of what I started with. Jennings ain't gonna do that. Joe

I agree with you on the dumb idiots who call every gun a glock or any long gun a AK-47 in the news.I really like the ones in the low rent side of town and the HUD houses that say man you guys carry glocks they are real guns they will kill you quick. LOL.like no other gun will kill you.

Over the years, I've had many folks come to my farm to shoot with many different pistols. I have never seen and evidence that Glocks were any more reliable than a S&W, SA or SIG. Besides, they are Glugly. :)

Correct me if I'm wrong; but aren't Glocks chambered in 9mm LUGER, 40 SMITH AND WESSON, and 45 AUTO COLT PISTOL??????? The only round that had "Glock" in it was not very popular; sales wise. Don't get me wrong; they're decent guns, but they rely on the ammo designed by everyone else!!!

I've tried to buy a Glock several times. I would go to the gun show and seek out the Glock tables. Sanitize my hands ( @collects :) ) and then pick one up and once again realize it just didn't feel good in my hands, looked ugly and I saw a S&W at the next table that caught my eye.

i do have to say. in the end . glock is a gun. that's all its meant to be. that's all it will ever be. it has no decorations, no fancy grips. its a killing machine. it was meant to deal death. and deal it well. and in that aspect of being a nasty tool to kill with. its the king of its castle. no other firearm is as simple. as plain, reliable and trusted by as many as the glock. it serves its purpose perfectly. its not meant to be pretty, user friendly, ergonomic, decorative, collectible. its meant to shoot. and shoot every time in any condition.

it may not be my favorite gun. but i do respect it for what it is. a fine tuned death bringing pistol. which i would trust my life with a lot more than many other brands.

The department my brother works for issues Glocks and he has now become one of the brainwashed to the point his back up/off duty carry is now a Glock. All I know about them (beside the fact that it is one ugly gun) is their company lawyer got 7 years for stealing 5 million and a gun from the company here in Atlanta. It's a good thing he was an executive and stole that much money along with the gun. If it had been a worker in the factory that stole a few hundred dollars and a gun they probably would have given him 20 years.

I think every Glock basing thread I have ever seen has someone who gets a bit bent out of shape. I had a Glop once, worked fine, pointed wrong, got sold.

Glop lovers also say "a glop can't fire out of battery" so this had to be the ammo right?

It appears to be word with much power and influence as this thread will attest. No other word causes so much angst on this forum. It's almost like its seen as a threat somehow. I get a kick out of it. Funny stuff.
