any advice is greatly appreciated..i plan to shoot goex black powder ammo in my colt anconda.what would be the best way to clean the revolver afterwards of the BP resideue????.......thanks
Lots of hot soapy water. The black powder residue is easily removed. You will likely want to remove the grips before cleaning. Be sure to apply copious amounts of oil after.
I knew a fellow shooter who used to put his Ruger Old Army stainless in the dishwasher to clean it. Well, at least he did until his wife caught him.
Don't be upset if black powder doesn't work as well in the Anaconda as it would in say, a Colt new service or a single action army, as the Anaconda is very tight and not set up to handle black powder fouling very well.
It could foul to the point it won't operate in only 12 or 18 rounds. At that point, you'll just have to use some water and a brush to get it going again.
