Going price for used 686-5

Just want to get a ballpark for a 4" 686-5 in VG condition. Not sure of year or serial # at this point.

Can someone give me a range - I realize it's difficult not seeing it but a ballpark would be helpful.

$550 to $650 in my part of the world. We used to buy 686's brand new for less than $400. Oh well, next year that $550 to $650 range will seem like a good price!

My local gun shop has had a few 686-whatever's come through in the last 6 months. All were priced between $425 and $500. IMHO, They are common enough where they don't demand any kind of special premium or following.

Early this year I bought a nice shooter 686-3 4 inch for $399.00 in a gunstore in California. Now that same gun today is $550.00 to $650.00 anywhere. I would say if you can buy one from $475.00 to $525.00 that would be a good price.
