Golden Bullets...

Golden Bullets work fine in my 15-22 and M&P22. My 15-22 likes them better than mini-mags.

There has been so much good said about these GBs on this thread that I broke down and bought 3 buckets of the stuff. I guess it won't hurt to put 4,200 of these down range.

I run these in my m&p22 for steel challenge and also in my 15-22 for plinking. Over 2000 rounds so far and only a couple FTF. Picked up a couple buckets today as well.

I finally had a chance to shoot some GBs and they performed just fine. I went through about 1/2 a bucket and I did not have one FTF or FTE. As for the their accuracy, I don't know... Between my poor shooting and the crazy wind out, I couldn't tell if they were performing any worse than any of the other stuff I have shot.

Well even I bought some GB try try recently (earlier this week). This is shot thru all my guns as is meaning they have not been cleaned lately. Both pistols started having what looked like light strikes, many on the last round of a 10 round Buckmark mag. All but 2 rounds fired when reshoot at a different rim location. Switched back to Fed AM and no issues. Then tried my 15-22, the one with the S3G + JP yellow springs. Started with just one Promag 32 and reloaded it. First 2 mag's full shot 100%. Then on the 3rd the mag started having feed problems. Then it got to the point I could not load the mag full without some rounds not pointing up correctly and as a result the mag would fire off 3-4 then a round would not strip off the top of the mag, submarining I like to call it when the tip points down in the mag and no amount of help will get it to line up. Also noted there seemed to be a lot of powder residue on the spent case around where the FP strike was. and I was getting a lot dirtier also. Put some Fed AM in and both fed and fired 100% again. Gave the gun to a couple of other shooters, one an ex-pro and one a rank novice female and loaded with some Fed AM and nether had a single issue. Might revisit this again after cleaning some of my mags a few months early. Seems to me the GB does not have much lube on the rounds and maybe this is contributing to the feed issues. But that should not have been an issue with the pistols because I always put a couple of quick squits of Rem oil in the UCL when I put the ammo in and those loaded as good as anything. Also have 3 new boxes of Win 555 to test out. I warmed up the guns shooting some old Win HP ammo and that stuff worked 100% also. I don't mind a few duds and such in my practice ammo because clearing them is a good drill. However I do mind if the ammo stops feeding or loading properly in my mags.

After 3/4 of a bucket of Golden Bullets, not one failure of any kind in both my M&P 15-22 and M&P 22.

As for accuracy, I got one of those freebie steel spinners from CCI this past summer, and I can hit it over and over again, even the smaller center spinner, from 50 yards. Good enough for me, my son, and his cousin.

In fact, I wish that I could get another bucket. I got my first one from Gander Mountain, shipped to my local store, for $70.

I went to the Range on Tuesday and Today

I have dumped a Full box of Golden Bullets thru my 15-22, with and without the Slidefire... not 1 issue at all

I also ran some today thru my 15-22p, as well as Thunderbolts, CCI mini Mags.... all where flawless...

The only real issues i have had where with the timney trigger and the 15-22. Think the Timney is too light of hammer spring for the 15-22... my CMC Trigger is HANDS Down the best trigger i have shot... but I only have the Stock, modified stock, JP Adjustable, Timney and CMC to compare too...

Golden Bullets seem ta have a Nice Snap too em since they are a 40gr Bullet

Anyways my finding all

My only complaints on the Goldens I have, bottom half of a 550 box bought about 2 years ago, are that they are smoky/dirty compared to others, and that being a lefty I can frequently feel material other than the empty casing blowing out the ejection port.

That, and feed problems with some mags for my pistol.

The 20 I ran thru the 15-22 had no operational issue.

It seems Most cheap Bullets are pretty Dirty

the Golden ar the Dirtiest on the Outside for sure... my fingers are Black after loading 5-10 mags..

The CCI Blazers are pretty dirty as well...

The BEST I have shot are the CCI Tactical 40gr Rounds.... best shooter, cleanest and accurate and SPENDY

I have some winchester special edition (wooden Box) I have yet to try but besides the CCI Tactical they all seem very similar

Anyways my thoughts

Yesterday, I finished the whole bucket. In total, I had 1 FTF out of 1,400 bullets. That is not too shabby. I am not going to shun Remington anymore. Thanks for all of the input.

There is nothing golden about the GB's except they are the color urine.
