Savages holding company wants to sell off or shut down Savage
so it can concentrate on shooting accessories -.
Seems Savage generates a small percentage of returns for their mega holdings empire.

Would be a good fit for S&W giving them superior bolt
action rifles to add to the line up.

Maybe if they thin out the various models, starting with the Axis line, and start producing quality versions of the Stevens Favorite again.

I've never been a huge Savage fan, but I guess compared to some of the imported junk S&W has brought in over the years, they might be considered superior.
