Good Package Deal on MBUS Sights

People that have a strong hatred against plastics have never had an experience with high quality engineered plastics and composites that are "done right". Fiber and Graphite impregnated nylons are among some of the best plastics out there, they are strong and dimensionally stable and even self lubricating. I suspect the Magpul MBUS are probably a reinforced nylon.

It never fails!! Let me order something & then it will show up cheaper!! I just ordered a set from Magpul. It's all good because I ordered the Foliage Green because it's a pretty close match to the LaRue UDE color of my stock,grips, & rail clips. Problem is that everywhere that I have checked, the rear sights are on back order in all colors. My front sight should be here Tuesday & Magpul said 1-2 weeks on the rear. So I am expecting probably 3-4 weeks...

MBUS are hard as nails. Though, Magpul warns of mounting on a gas block (heat issues)

I'll tell ya... I was a bit skeptical of the quad rail on the 15-22. I knew I would be R&R gadgets all the time and I figured the polymer would scuff and get that 'grey' look that black plastics sometimes do. That hasn't been the case at all. The 15-22 quad rail is really tough. In contrast, the metal quad rail on my AR and new Sig522 is quite easy to nick and scratch.

Check out "GT Distributors". They have a web site and two stores in TX and GA. They had several MBUS rear sights in stock at their GA store last week when I was there. They were a couple bucks cheaper than most too. Call the 800 number on the web and if their stores have in stock they'll ship to you.

Just noticed that Primary Arms has the Foliage Green rear MBUS in stock.
