I called the biggest "BLUE LABEL" pricing dealer in Roanoke,
he said Glock put the program on hold due to COVID,
and they did not have a Blue Label gun in the building,,,
Hmmmmmmmmmm
I'll call around. I would like to get a Gen 5 Glock 19.
Look elsewhere. Not true.
I bought a Gen 5 G19 through this program a couple of years ago.
Well, LUCKILY, for ME,, this situation did drag on for a while,,
I knew I wanted a gun smaller than the Glock 17 in the gun safe,,
Prior to today, the smallest gun I ever owned was the Glock 17.
Initially, I was POSITIVE that I wanted the G26,, (I wear a 3X glove! )
Then, I thought maybe a G43,,
Ultimately, I decided to ride to that Blue Label dealer, that told me they had none, and had not had one in three months.
I get there,, a BIG Blue Label banner on the main entrance.
Then, I find the dedicated case,, with about a dozen Blue Label guns.
There are two identical G19's, a G26 SEVERAL large ones like the G34.
So I tell the sales guy, I want the G19, as a veteran. he says "Sorry" the program expired Labor Day,,
I showed him that the Glock site said it ran until November,,
He said, fine, lets write up the paperwork.
About 54 minutes from when I got there I was heading home, with the Glock 19 Gen 5.
They would only sell me one box of ammo,, I got ammo,, (50 rounds of some no-name ball ammo)
The only "name" ammo was some Remington +P+,, I did not want that.
I bought 3 Magpul Gen3 300 Blackout mags,
And I got a pound of Hogden CFEBLK powder.
Total, for the G19 Gen 5, bullets, 3 mags, powder, transfer fee, and local tax = $500.21
It was a good night,,,
I am glad I wasted the trip, driving there,,,
