So I have an M&P 40c that I have been wanting to trade for an M&P 9c. I thought about a conversion barrel or dropping in a stock 9mm barrel for it. I have not been able to source a stock 9mm barrel and I really didn't want to pay the premium for a Storm Lake conversion barrel.
Anyway, the gunsmith at my local gun store was aware of my desire to have an M&P 9c. Yesterday he gave me a call out of the blue telling me that he just got in a trade for an M&P 40c that also had a Storm Lake conversion barrel and 3 mags with it. He was willing to separate the conversion and mags and sell them to me.
Long story short, with minimal negotiations I was able to get the Storm Lake conversion barrel with 3 9mm mags for $140 out the door. The barrel can't have more than 100 rounds through it. My gunsmith also test fired the barrel in my gun before I bought it. Very happy I finally have an "M&P 9c."
