Bought a new Walther PPX (discontinued model) from CDNN...price was $280! Really sweet shooter & seems well made. 16+1 of 9mm. The recoil is considerably less than my .40 cal Glock 22. I plan on shooting this one often...since 9mm rounds can be had for 20 cents each in bulk.

The PPX is a great shooter, but the feed ramp has a history of coming loose, causing failures to feed.
This is what it looks like when it comes loose.

Walther replaces it if you send the barrel back, but you still have the same potential problem. Someone recently posted that he had three feed ramps fail within four hundred rounds. We had a couple thousand rounds through ours before it failed, and traded it when the new barrel arrived.

Don't mean to be a Debby Downer, just a heads up, in case you planned to use it for self defense.

Good luck with yours.

The newer made PPX comes with the "Creed" model barrel. According to the service tech. @ Walter, it has been improved. I will keep an eye on it though and I doubt every PPX has had a problem or they would have issued a recall. I also doubt Walther would make the new Creed model with the same faulty barrel the older PPX has. I'll post again after I put thru a few hundred rounds.

To the best of my knowledge, the Creed type barrel was never installed in the PPX before it was discontinued. It's what they send you as a replacement. I think it was the Creed type replacements that had the repeat failures recently. This is the replacement barrel. The sides of it's feed ramp did not have blueing the way the original did.
