Steel Frames

Make a 3013, 3014, 4013, & 4014 with steel frames, like they did with the 4516 in .45ACP. In .45ACP you have the choice of 4513 (alloy) or 4516 (steel) and I would like that same choice in 9mm and 40 S&W. The extra weight of the steel frame really helps to tame the recoil and muzzel flip that you get with the compacts. Also it just make for a much more substantial weapon.

Yeah, well that's a Wilson. I don't think I will ever own a Wilson because of cost. However, others have made polymer grip high capacity 1911 pattern pistols closer to your rang, like Kimber.

I think S&W could do it. In late 2008, I walked out the door with a SW1911 NIB, taxes, transfer and all $720. The shop I used isn't known for bargains.

A M&P high capacity 1911 would be my carry!
