What a fantastic gun! I got it this past Thursday, took it apart, looked everything over and it looked great. I noticed that the feed ramp looked partially polished like another poster had mentioned. I took pics and will post them when I get them downloaded. The center of the feed ramp looked shiny and polished while the sides were black.
So, moving forward to this morning, I took it to the range and went through about 120 rounds of Remington 115 grain target stuff, and some Winchester hollow points I had around. I didn't have a single FTF or FTE, and the gun just worked great. I am actually very surprised at how low the recoil is, almost to a point where I feel like I should worry! I had no problem using the flat bottomed mag as well as the one with the pinkie extension. I don't think anything is wrong really, but it is SO easy to shoot without much recoil, it is amazing. My 9mm Hi-Power practical makes quite a bit more recoil, and it is an all metal gun, but it does have a 5 inch barrel or so, so that may be the main difference.
Some other guys out there were shooting some new "Hi Point" guns which are apparently some of the most affordable guns out there. They paid under $200 for their 9mm version. It was huge, bulky, and ugly. I let them shoot through a mag with my gun and they were surprised by it as well. They actually loved the trigger, but they didn't like the fact that it was a compact.
No, my next step is that I think I would like an adjustable rear site--one with an adjuster screw as opposed to having to move the whole rear site in the dovetail. Anybody have any good recommendations for that?
