Was at a gun show Saturday looking for a pistol for my wife. We were going to get an M&P 9C as I have the full size, but after holding the weapon, she did not like the way it felt.
The dealer also had some Sigmas which we looked at those.
She really liked the way the SW9VE felt in her hand. So after carefully inspecting it and dry firing a few time we went ahead and bought it.
Have not a chance to try it out yet, but looking forward to it.

You cant do much better than the Sigma for the price ..... As a matter of fact I find it more fun to shoot then most of my other pistols. Once you get use to the trigger it will be fine and shoot well. And you cant beat that S&W service dept if you do have a problem.

You made a great choice. The elitists turn up their noses at guns in that price range, but they are the naive ones. The Sigma is the best value going today. Totally reliable and totally affordable.
Nice going

I predict you will like your sigma when you get to shoot it.I have liked mine from day one and it has never missed a beat even with my lousy reloads.

I like my SW9VE more everytime I shoot it. Goes BANG!! everytime. Never had a jam or misfire.

LordRahl,
Congratulations on your purchase. Also congrats on having a wife who wanted a gun!

I also have a 9VE. The first generations Sigmas had some problems and got a bad reputation. Ours are the improved 3rd generation. If someone tells you your Sigma is junk tell them you have the 3rd gen with the stronger frame, tactical rail, and other improvements I can't remember.

I'll be interested to hear how yours works out. So far I've only shot Blazer Brass RN FMJ through mine and it worked perfectly. I waiting to get to the range again so I can try running some Speer Gold Dot 124 grn JHPs through it. I will post the results of that test.

Mine came with 10 round mags but 16 rounders are available.

Erich did a post here titled "I believe this is a real value" where he wrote a nice review of the Sigma. You might want to search for it.

You can`t go wrong with this weapon. I have over 2,000rnds through mine and not a problem. Best of Luck and always Practice!!.

I bought a NIB SW9VE myself at a gun show here in Richmond today. It has the black slide, and after 5% tax, State Police backround fee, the and $50.00 rebate, I'm in it for all of $272.74.

Not sure if shooting DAO for all these years makes a difference or if I have a factory freak - and while it's no Kahr - the trigger on mine is just fine...

Pretty hard to beat for the money...

I guess I knew that, too...

Mine is the Allied Forces model - no magazine safety - that have anything to do with the quality of the out-of-the-box trigger pull?

Anyway, I polished the internal contact points, and the barrel ramp and throat tonight...looking forward to having time to shoot it...

I don't think any of the Sigmas have mag safeties.

I just got a 9VE and put about150 assorted rounds down the pipe, 1 light strike and 2 failed to feed. Any suggestions?
