Got a call this morning from the gun shop that has had my name since August for a 9mm Shield! They finally got a couple in and one had my name on it (since I answered my phone!). They honored the original price of $399.99 and I picked it up today amid the chaos of "black gun madness." I already had one extra mag purchased this summer. Can't wait to get out and shoot it!

BTW...the store manager who I had been working with said that I was the 3rd call he made this morning. The first two didn't answer their phones, so I got it (one had been on the "list" since May!).

Sweet I wish I could find a 9 Shield. A guy is gonna sell me a brand new 40 Shield but its gonna cost me $475 total. I gotta tell him tomorrow if I'm gonna take it for sure and if I do gonna go pick it up Monday.

Get it and dont look back. You can easily buy a Shield 9mm barrel and a 9mm mag for it. Then u have a weapon that shoots both calibers.....Nothing wrong with that at all.

That is msrp plus 6% sales tax pricing (MI tax rate). I'd jump on that without thinking about.

I shop near me had one. He had it listed at $549. would have been $577 OTD. Too much in my opinion, but I should have probably swallowed my pride and picked it up. It was gone the next day.

Not proud to tell you this. But, I paid $530 on Gunbroker, plus FFL plus shipping. But, it was a present for my wife and she is VERY happy with it! Life is good.

Sold mine yesterday. BNIB, not fired except at factory. Got $525 for it.
Guy bought it for his wife. They were ecstatic to find one.

I'd buy my ole lady a gun (no matter the price), if only it would make her happy. Some things you just cant put a price on, and her happiness is one of those things.

I paid $20 over list to a dealer that lists on GunBroker for a .40 Shield he hadn't listed yet, and I'd do it again, in a heartbeat. Right now, I'm waiting for the Maryland paperwork to come back, but it's only a matter of days before I can bring it home. And that beats the months of wishing I could get a shot at one.

I paid $459 plus tax totaling $500 OTD and don't regret it a single bit. It's the only one that has showed up in my area except for the one that the LGS owner has. It's truly a great gun and I consider myself lucky because I know a few of my buddies who are still desperate to get one. Even though it's a slight premium, I would jump on it without thinking about it. They are going for more on Gun Broker.

Right place at the right time last week Bought a .40 at academy that they found while looking for a Taurus for another gentleman. $399+ tax. Now if only I could find a 9mm for m'lady for that price.

Well Im gonna pick up the 40 tomorrow for $475 cant wait to get it. I just hope it dont have the mag drop problem that I've seen on the net. But good thing is I know Smith will take care of it if it does. Its brand new in the box the guy has never shot it.

I hadn't been paying much attention to new products for a while. A few months back I hopped on the S&W website and saw the Shields being promoted on the homepage. Well I knew I just had to have one, so the next day I stopped by my preferred firearms dealer and was pleased to see they had a .40 in stock. I'm sure glad I got it now!
