Coyotes and wild pigs are enough for me, thank you. I know nothing about co-existing with bears.
First of all;So, if I understand you correctly, brucev has The Right to Bear Arms, but he does NOT have The Right Bear Arms?

Just a quick aside: A few years back a guy proudly showed me the cell phone photo of the "wild turkey" he'd spotted in the city that morning. He outranked me by a lot in the organization we worked for, so I just said, "Imagine that!" or something innocuous, and refrained from telling him he'd photographed a turkey vulture. By that time I was just too old to "speak truth to power."I have seen black bear in the city, a young moose, turkey.

Bears just want to have fun! This hunter sure got a face full!
The video posted above has a big wow factor and is actually pretty neat. Here's another > Saskatchewan Black Bear Adrenaline At It's Best! - YouTube . This one is a little longer but there is a lot of action going on with these hunters.
I was wondering if they didn't SMELL one of the Philly cheese steak joints...Pats or Ginos? How's the food stamp situation in Philly?
I live in Bucks County about an hour from Philly. I really don't understand
how anyone can worry about bears when every night after dark Philly
becomes a free fire zone. Every morning the T.V. news people count the
bodies.

....but bears are usually safe!
Now that is what you call up close & personal! I'm amazed that the hunter didn't shoot the bear while it was making its way up the tree. Great restraint, or was he frozen solid?
