Keegan & I were able to get out to the rifle range today. We had a good time. One target was 22wmr with open sights, the other was 22LR with a scope. Only 50 yards but the farthest he’s ever shot. He did okay! He was impressed with some of the other guys’ guns. One dude had some WWI and WWII rifles. Kee reads a lot and knew what those old war guns were; I was pretty impressed! I’ll see if I can post a couple of his targets. I’m pretty proud he just shot and wasn’t even stoked like I was! Just a proud “Pappy Taylor”!

Jeff, I don’t have any children, but have taken youngsters shooting before, and this may not be possible where you are shooting, but if possible, back in the day I always had soda cans for targets. The kids loved seeing the cans fall over! Nowadays you can get spinners or other “reaction” style targets that excite them! Of course, teaching them early to be sure to pick them up after you finish shooting is another important lesson. I LOVE seeing smiles on their faces!

Sorry about the title...that is creepy! No ice cream, but McDonalds seems to be the norm. Of course we have to get some to take home to his two sisters. I pass on that one!! He's constantly reading about different guns on the net. Usually my first text received when I get home is "when do you think we can go again?"

Glad to hear thay you both had a great time shooting up some ammo.

Nice to see that he got to shoot with iron sights and a scope, to see what, is out there.

I hope that he will keep on shooting a learning more,
You did Fantastic.
