My bro-in-law and I made our monthly get together, gun shop run yesterday. We were in the largest LGS in our area, and wow, for a Friday they were busy selling guns.

There was an older woman there using a walker to get around. She had to be minimum, late 70's probably 80's. She was doing the paperwork for a new 642. Go Granny!

Good for her. Hope she can handle the little J frame if needed, though I'm sure she won't practice much.

ive shot with a lot of older people in sass, they can be surprisingly fast sometimes.
ive seen them hobble up to the loading table with a cane, apologizing 'cause they stopped taking their pain meds two days before so they would be clear-headed for the shoot, and then proceed to shoot a 30 second stage-clean!
i shot with a lady who looked like a stereotypical librarian ,had to be in her 70s ,she could run a win. 97 like a machine-gun
exceptions to the rule? sure, but it serves to show you cant always judge a book by its cover

I know exactly what you are saying. I've been in SASS since 1999. There are a lot of amazing older shooters. I hope I can still do it, I'm already feeling old at 56.
