Great Action of an old gent.

Yes! Initiative can make up for a lot of deficiencies. Particularly effective if the assailants are not dedicated.
Especially when one considers the alternative (surrendering yourself to the devices of the crooks). The school solution isn't always the best solution.

Aloha,

As a disabled 65 year old Citizen, I Prefer the term Curmudgeon.

I think he used a Beretta 80 series. Great gun. I have several.

Depending on model, the 84 can hold 14, 13 in the mag. The 85/86 can

hold 9, 8 in the magazine.

Hawaii does not issue CCW permits. If we go from May to Shall issue,

the Wife and I are thinking that a matching pair of worked over M-58s

should work well. Especially after Colorado.

Now, How Many loaders did Harry carry?

The fellow that chased/shot the thugs certainly had
courage. Also, he may haveconsidered what would happen
if the thugs discovered his firearm. As to whether or not
it was legal to carry where he was, he probably weighed the
consequences of walking around while old enough to be a
target. Looks like courage ran side-by-side with common sense.
If redlevel starts a fund, I'm declaring myself in.

i say his performance was flawless. Just you tube some "dashcam" video's of police shooting and see what well trained police do. I am nor by all means bashing police (i am on the job) i am just saying being put in that scneario i thought the old timer did well. He actually waited for the scumbag with the gun to turn his back before he started his assault. The it looks like he took a knee (or attempted) to either get a better shooting platform or create a smaller target. The he basically over powered both thugs by (both armed ) chasing them out of the store. NO telling what the intent of those thugs were Obv stealing some cash, but whats next? maybe kill everyone in the cafe?

Kudos to a job well done.
