LSG Manufacturing
In August of 2007 I purchased a new S&W 686-6 Plus. I was getting inconsistent firing pin strikes, resulting in multiple failures to fire. Living relatively close to Comanche, TX., I called Frank Smith at LSG Manufacturing (an authorized Smith & Wesson Warranty Center). Frank immediately offered to send a Fed-Ex call tag, or if I preferred, to bring the gun to him. I opted for the second choice.
In only a few minutes, Frank had determined what the problem was. He did a little filing on the extractor star, replaced the firing pin, and checked the timing. The pistol has performed flawlessly since.
This past Spring, the ejector rod screw began backing out, and I inadvertantly cross-threaded the part. This was totally my fault, and I told Frank the same when I spoke with him. Once again, after the trip to Comanche, Frank has everything repaired and running smoothly. The parts and labor only came to $39.
I have always praised Smith & Wesson for their customer service, and in particular, Frank Smith at LSG Manufacturing.
