I just wanted to say hi to everyone. I'm relatively new at this, but have already picked up two Smith and Wessons, a 686 and an M&P 9 (today).
I am a retired teacher (17 years in the Minneapolis Public Schools) and also a retired advertising copywriter (16 years). I am still writing quite a bit, mostly short stories, poetry, plus much more. I'm also an avid photographer, with my 40th anniversary coming up next year. I can't believe that much time has passed, but it does go fast.
As I said, I am a "noob" to shooting, but am a pretty good shot, or so I'm told.
Well, nice to be able to be in a forum with like minded Smith and Wesson enthusiasts.
Good shooting, everyone.

Spike - Welcome from the Devil's Playground! :D

Teaching kids that long would make anyone want to start collecting firearms. LOL! (kidding!)

I'm also a pro photographer, among my other trades. ;) What do you like to shoot the most?

Take care and welcome to the forum!

Thanks for the warm welcome

Thank you, fellow enthusiasts, for the welcome. I have already met some of the nicest, most helpful people I've known in our circle. Glad to add you to my "circle" too.

R1 Demon, my photo subjects range from people (former photo journalist from college) to nature, architecture, even a few set ups (my new firearms). I love to travel, so I am never at a loss for subject matter. How 'bout you?

Here's a couple I shot (love the pun) of my 686 lately:
