Greetings from New Zealand

Greetings from Mass.

What can you still own for handguns?

Just started getting into Smith and Wesson 38/200 service revolvers. Started with an early 5" with commercial blue finish and checkered medallion grips. SN puts shipdate as early 1941. Gun was sent to Canada. Will be looking at a wartime parkerized 5" US property marked lend lease gun. Not sure were it was sent but will be taking some photos and will make note of stamps and markings.

Do these show up at all in NZ?

If you are looking for something interesting and historical these guns are a good bet since the were also used in NZ.. I reload for the 38/200/.38S&W. Once you secure a set of dies and some brass and bullets this turns out to be a fun and easy caliber to load for.

Best of Luck

Welcome to the forum from upstate Carolina.

The 15-22 is a neat little gun. works quite well, and close to as effective at making things dead as the .223, within range. Also, a lot of accessories are available for it. I looked at one for my wife, but opted for the Ruger 10/22. Also a nifty little package with lots of accessories available.

Welcome from California where we aren't far behind you in gun rights. On a side note I’ll be in NZ over Christmas visiting my in laws on Waiheke Island. Beautiful country even without the dreaded AR.
