I've been looking into replacing my grip and I'm looking for something larger and flatter angle than the factory m&p grip. I see the magpuls can have adjustable front and back straps as well as more vertical grips but what about one with a flatter angle? Any of you more experienced gents recommend anything?

I have used both the Hogue grips as well as the MOE+. I liked the Hogue grips until I tried the MOE+. I put Hogues on all my AR's including my 1522's. I put Magpul MOE+ on two of my AR's and my son and I really like them. They are comfortable. Both grips are nice but now we prefer the MOE+. I hope this helps. BTW- I ordered them fromOtto Firearms LLC they have the cheapest price on magpul stuff and they are really friendly. $5 flat rate shipping too.

I've been thinking about those, but I like the "fat" rubber feel of the Hogue.

Here is a write up by Gear Scout reviewing 21 different grips with pictures.

Some of the more popular grips with a steeper angle are the Magpul K, BCM Mod 0 & 1, and UCWRG grip 23

So far I really like the K grip, but I just installed a UCWRG grip and will be trying that out for next few weeks. I have tried the BCM grips but found them uncomfortable for me.

The Magpul K grip has a flatter angle, but is slimmer too. I have it on my 15-22 and love it. Many women favor this grip. Straigher angle distributes weight better and makes it easier to hold one-handed. Slimness also helps with our smaller hands.

I have the MOE on my AR (because it is pink), but I may have to sacrifice my touch-o'-pink and switch to the K grip. Magpul is coming out with a new one (with storage). I've written them to ask if they would consider making them in pink, since so many women love the K grip. :)

Hi Zotzer,

Thanks for the grip info. I'm totally an M&P girl and recently bought the M&P 15 Sport and just ordered the 15-22 MOE, can't wait to get it! Anyway, I'm taking it slow with any changes or upgrades, but the grip is kind of a critical one, with smaller hands and all.

Anyway, I'll be ordering the k-grip for the Sport.

Thanks again.

The K grip is opposite of what I'm looking for. Kinda wary of choosing one now without actually holding it. Going to have to go to my local stores and see if they'll let me take any out of box. The link to grip comparisions was great though. Saw a lot of brands/options I hadnt previously seen.

I've moved to the new Umbrella Corp grip. It is much more vertical and I find it to be more comfortable. Stock grip (well mostly stock) for comparison.

That's why I tried to describe it as thoroughly as I could. And, as others tend to pop in and read these threads, others can benefit too (as happened here).

Good luck with your choices. Great thing is that grips are pretty cheap, and it's always good to have spares.
