What is the screw size and threads on S&W grips? I'm. Tired of
messing around and going to look for industrial supply house
that specializes in fasteners and ordering 100.

First off, they are NOT all the same! You need to supply us with model, year, and grips you have on it.

Don't waste your time at local stores as I doubt you will find a screw of that proportion and size. After you find out what you need, call Jack First Gun Shop in Rapid City SD (605) 343-9544. Hope that helps you.

Slotted filister heads in brass and ss can be had for less than a
$1@ by the hundred in the size range the grip screws are going
to be in. They will be total threaded but that makes no difference.
I'm wanting to buy the ones long enough to use on any. Small
job to shorten one for your needs. I bought 2 last year and the
ship & handling charge was more than the screws. There are all
kinds of places on line to buy screws of all kinds.

Grips I deal with are 1950s- 80s revolvers. All these I have are
same screw size & thread. Robbing Peter to pay Paul gets to be
a PIA. I've got all kind of #6 & #4 taps, dies and screws but I
don't have even a screw checker that has any #5 screws in any
thread. Some truck gun grades, I dill and tap to 6x32 and work
screw head dia down.

I've got a Brownell's Gun Screw Thread Checker with a #5. If you care to send me the screw I'll check it for ya. PM me if interested.

What are you doing to your stock screws?
Mine disappear into some black hole that must exist somewhere inside my house. Socks and earrings ( always one , never two) , springs, small parts , loose grip screws and money , all seem to get sucked into it. It must move around the house...I can never find it but I know it exists !

I have one of those too. Somewhere in the house is a 1911 plunger spring that disappeared ten years ago.

I have dropped something right at my feet and searched for an hour before it crawls back out.

I had my Colt Woodsman spit it's recoil g-rod over my shoulder(catch wasn't fully in the end) flew across my garage full of boxes. Heard it ding on the floor and actually found it.:)
