Hey guys, where can I find a set of grips for my 22/32 Bekeart model? They don't need to be numbered, but I would like to find a pair in decent shape that would look nice on this gun.

I will post in the wanted section as well.
Thanks for the help!

Terry,
Need more info. Which ones? They went through the same changes as the other frame sizes as to medallion types or no medallions at all. Also, since yours appears to be from between the wars, it could have the stepped backstrap like a Regulation Police, in which case it would use the single screw round-to-square I frame grips, not the two-screw Bekeart styles.

Try J frame targets. They ought to cover the front and back straps. They might fill the space completely behind the trigger guard, unlike the factory combats.

Terry, I recently picked up these unnumbered extension stocks on Gunbroker. They would fit your gun.

I can't recall if you established a year of manufacture. Based on that ejector rod knob I am thinking 1920s. If so, these stocks are timed right; they have no medallions, which was the style in the 1920s.

Look for a PM.

22/32 Grips

I think David Wilson's are the right ones. If it was old enough for gold medallions, it wouldn't have made in USA on the frame below the cylinder, and probably wouldn't have shipped with a patridge front sight (although that could have been changed later).

So that was what it was called

A 22/32 Bekeart model..

Had my hands on one today at the local gun show!

DCWilson gets top marks! Thoes sure look like what I had my hands on.

What is a curent value on a pistol like that? The particular one I was looking at had a problem with one chamber, like someone tried to ream it out for a larger RF cartrige. The seller is a straight up guy, and said he had fired it and that is the only problem with the pistol. It looked 85% + to me, serial # in pencil on the inside of the grips.

Thanks to all of you who responded! FYI the serial number is 472xxx, which I believe places the gun in the late 1920's, or possibly as late as 1930.

You can find many nice shooting examples of this type in the $400-500 range, so the one you saw as described would be worth less due to the altered chamber. Parts such as the cylinder would be hard to find also. Hope this is helpful.

Terry, reply PM incoming. Glad you think those will work.

I'm thinking 1928 for your revolver with that serial number. The .32 HE series (which includes the .22/32 models) was over 500,000 in 1929. So these medallion-less stocks are exactly what you need to restore the original 1920s-era configuration.

Thanks for the grips and the update on the serial # David. That's good to know. Sounds like 1928 is right.
