Hi there guys!I was wanting to find a set of grips for my model 69 2.75 barrel.i love the grips on my Taurus model 44 tracker with 2.5 barrel.it's not the ribber grips but the other 3 finger grip.these really fit my hand perfect since I have smaller hands and really soak up the recoil.closest I could find was the pachmayr bantam.any suggestions would be awesome!

I just bought these faux combats for 50.00 new on the big auction site. Pretty darn nice for 50 dollar grips
man you ain't kiddin!will have to check out that site!50 is way better than 85 lol.i have the 69 with 4.25 bbl but have crimson trace on that 1 for the black bears here in case they ever wanted to be crazy lol also have the 66-8 with the 2.75 barrel.love all of them!

+1 on these.

You're not likely to find a better "recoil-absorbing" grip than the Diamond Pro's.

They're bulky and a bit on the homely side (IMO) but they soak up magnum recoil better than any other grips I've ever tried.

Tried a couple of grips on my 4.25" version .
The Diamond Pros are good ones but I had issues with my knuckle and the trigger guard.
Wound up with a set of S&W X frame grips on it.

That was the only set I shot magnum loads in my 69 with comfortably.

Another member here has profiled his X frame grips to be less bulky, while still retaining the excellent backstrap.

I would like to try that .
They are kinda bulky, and look out of proportion on the L frame.

I had Diamond Pro's on my 69 but they cracked around the top of the backstrap. They do soak up recoil well. I have other Pach's on it now and they are not so good. For me wood just bite to hard and aggravate an old hand injury.

I have Pachmyr Compac grips on mine. They are fat and absorb the recoil really good.

The Pachmayr Compac Customs that came on the early Night Guards (M357NG) did a pretty good job absorbing recoil, & weren't overly large, but the S&W grips that came on the later models (M329NG) were harder & the back edge of the grips were slightly pointed & I disliked them. :(

The Badger grips (M325NG & M396NG) look nice but I can only handle shooting them with light loads. Otherwise they're mainly for show if you've got older hands. :p

I think the Diamond Pros are the cushiest while not being overly large like the X-frame grips.

X frame grips may not have the classic look of good wood, but they are the best for managing recoil in my hands.
