Grow up in the '60s? what was your fav TV "program?"

The 1964 Winter Olympics from Austria. I lived in Germany from 61-65 and that was the only TV show I can remember seeing there. Our downstairs neighbor had a TV and I went down to watch some of the skiing.

After coming back to the states I never got into the habit of watching TV for entertainment, something that holds true up to today.

I go through a ton of books though.

Rocky & His Friends

"Turnips".

"Every dog should have a boy".

"Think, Bullwinkle, think!"
(Picture of Bullwinkle with smoke pouring out of his ears).
(William Conrad ((Matt Dillon on the radio)) recites, "But the strain was too much, and the Mighty Moose toppled to the earth").

"Fearless Leader".

Mannix........

My dad worked on the space program, so STAR TREK was probably #1 in our house.

Of course we watched GUNSMOKE and BONANZA. Maybe because we lived in Florida, we also watched GENTLE BEN religiously.

I Dream of Genie!!! :D :D :D Barbara Eden!!! :D :D :D Elizabeth Montgomery as Samantha Stevens in Bewitched was a close second.

Combat, followed by The Fugitive and Laugh In. But my favorite cartoon was Johnny Quest.

Have Gun, Will Travel; Gunsmoke; Bonanza

Star Trek; Twilight Zone; Outer Limits

Fireball XL5; Rocky & Bullwinkle

And of course, no 60's favorites list could be complete, especially for a North Carolinian, without ....
The Andy Griffith Show ! (only the ones with Barney though)

*Ahem*
I don't think you have to ask...
:D

However, this show was runner up:

For people that were into pistols the Man From Uncle. Any body remember what they carried. One of those pistols should be well know on this forum. the other had probably a lot to do with the first one. See how many remember????

The Man from UNCLE crowd mostly carried modified Mauser pistols as I recall.

The Munsters
F Troop
3 Stooges
Sanford and Son
Gunsmoke
Bonanza
Wild Wild West
Outer Limits
Twilight Zone
........................................etc etc

There was too many to just say one...Gilligans Island, Beverly Hillbillies, Rat Patrol, Combat, I Dream of Genie, Palladin, Gunsmoke, Lost in Space, Maverick, The Rebel, etc, etc, etc. I even liked to watch Mutual of Omahas Wild Kingdom.

The funny thing is that we only had three channels then, now I have 200 and can't stand to watch anything if it isn't a '60s rerun.
