We have our sweet peas coming up and just planted lettuce. I tilled the row for tomatoes next month. The wife started a bunch from seed and they're doing well.
We're keeping it small this year. Just adding cucumbers, beans and squash later.
I'm already thinking BLTs!
Oh yea, may do some okra too

We're getting everything ready to go. But we're two months, weather-wise , behind you. We'll be buying our Petunias, tomatoes, cukes, and squash soon, and keeping all in the garage until end of May. Memorial Day is our traditional planting time.

Lilacs have leafed out, chives are up, peonies are breaking through and strawberry plants are through the mulch. Elms have buds, birds are cavorting, earthworms are out and about and mama Cardinal is nest building. Spring is trying hard here in the heartland.

Ours is the same as Kentucky. Derby day is tomato time.

I have started my spring garden. All raised beds and I have added two
more for this summer. As I have posted in the past I also have a solar
greenhouse and have had several vegetables all winter. I did find out
that the solar(Chinese) type greenhouse will not take -11F. It killed my
tomatoes, green beans and almost got my hot peppers but they are making
a comeback. Next fall I will have to rearrange my plant layout and maybe
a source of heat on the coldest nights. The plants may have survived but
we did not see the sun for about 3 days before the -11F.
