Guess What I Saw At Walmart

I've not seen reloading supplies in any Wal-Mart's in my area. But... this after noon I saw a COLT AR-15 M-4 type carbine for $1049 plus tax. It even had the evil bayonet lug! Go figure! My wife saw me looking at it. I'm going to have to proceed with caution. :-)

Funny how the anit gun clowns always go after the guns and NEVER even mention punishing the perpritator(sp?).

perpetrator

They don't mention punishing the perpetrator because it isn't his fault. Seriously. He never would have considered committing a crime if a gun hadn't been available. That's why there was no crime or violence before guns were invented. Cain did not bludgeon Able to death, he used one of the first known firearms.

Many Walmarts in California don't even sell ammunition (none of them sell guns), but the one in Susanville has ammo and some reloading supplies. Mostly shotgun wads and powder. I first noticed it about 3 years ago. It was quite a surprise.

Few years ago I was visiting my Mom in Salina, Kansas & went to the local Ace hardware for some stuff. I was pretty shocked to find ammo & a very well stocked reloading section.

Sometimes we forget what it's like in the Free States. Don't get me started on my visits to the pawn shops! :(

I was at a Wally world last week in Jim Thorpe Pa. They had primers, powders, presses, bullets, brass.....even rifles and shotguns. Unfortunately that's an hour drive for me. All my local Wally worlds don't stock any of that. Not even ammo
That's because you live in Philadelphia, the seat of our democracy. All the Liberals live there like all the other big cities across the nation. And, you need to get rid of your current Police Chief who happens to be the former Washington DC Police Chief. We all know how well things worked out there, don't we?

All of the WM stores near me up North of you carry ammo but nothing else. Two of the 3 carry rifles and shotguns but the other doesn't. Thanks for letting me know about the WM in Jim Thorpe. It's not really close to me but it's closer than the drive to Cabela's.

From what I'm told the store manager has control of what's ordered and sold in the store. It's not WM's decision not to sell guns, reloading components and ammo, it's the store manager...

There was a time not long ago that most Wally Marts had discontinued selling ammo and guns. Our Wally World sells ammo and long guns. You can look up a list of rifles sold by them and they will special order it. I have seen folks buy a rifle there and it takes about an hour to fill out the forms, call in the back ground and have someone walk you out the door:rolleyes:

The only gun stuff I buy there is occasionally some shot gun shells and clay birds. Even my everyday LGS can not match their cost.
The rest of my salary goes to him.;)

I live in Montana, and the walmart in Bozeman, carries very few kinds of ammo, and long guns. Mostly shotgun shells, and such. I'd sure like them to start selling othr stuff here. Fortunately we have had several gun shops open here. When I moved here, there was only two gun stores, and one of them was bought out, and now just sells outdoor gear. If we all lived in Alaska, we could even buy hanguns there. I think they are the only WM stores that do that.

I always imagined that States like Montana would sell guns at 7-11:)

Me too. But I have to admit that we have the best gun laws that I have ever seen. I am originally from western NY, then lived in Kalifornia for 39 years. Some of those people think that guns can jump out of drawers, and kill people. Others swear that guns can hypnotize people, and drive then into becoming mass murderers. Thank GOD for places like Montana, where the Constitution still is the law.

Florida has great Laws we are the GunShine State:) But around here there is no place to buy reloading supplies, guns yes but the only supplies are at a Bass Pro about 20 miles away and their prices are nuts. I just order online, I buy enough that the Haz mat is no big deal as I pay not sales tax so it almost a wash.

NE Ohio here... only ammo :( There is another Walmart about 10 miles south of here that is a little more out side of metropolitan Cleveland. I will have to check them out. There are a lot of Amish folk there. I bet they have supplies.

Wal Mart down the road in Christiansburg, VA has a reloading section. I don't buy much from them because the selection isn't great, and the prices aren't a lot better than my LGS.

New Iberia,LA here, was in wally world today to get some food. Ambled over to the gun dept and they had three M4 clones. One looked to be a smith & wesson but couldn't get a good look at the other two. Now all I have to find is the ammo cans with the 855 ammo. Frank

A few years ago (about 1972) I was working in a small town in eastern Oklahoma. Saw a discount store and went in to look for guns, reloading, etc. Very nice large section in one end of the store, as good a selection as I have ever seen in a small town. Got to talking to the guy there. He said he leased the space from the store. Said they were a small company a few miles away, in Arkansas, but they were opening stores in several small towns. When I left I checked the sign. WalMart.
