Does anyone know where I can find a guide rod and possibly a reduced power spring, that ACTUALLY fits the 5 inch barrel? I ordered a guide rod from one source and got a guide rod that was too short. Sent it back. Then when I was looking for another I found a vendor that stated: *** Will fit 5" 2.0 Models *** right on the order page. It is ½ inch too short as well. Anyone have a reliable source?

They are the same. I use the same RSA with my 5" CORE slide as I do with my 4.25". Perhaps they sent you a Compact RSA.

Use the stock guide rod and get a reduced power ISMI spring from Brownells, and put the reduced spring on your stock rod. Better than any aftermarket setup; ISMI supplies the OEM.

Both places that I tried stated that the guide rod they sent would fit the 4.25 and 5 inch barrels. I'm wondering if the M2.0 5 inch barrel in 40S&W has a different length guide rod than does the 9mm version. Anyhoo, I plan on getting reduced power springs and using them on the factory guide rod.

Please come back and report once you have this straightened out.

Good luck!!

I'd like to know the difference between one that will only fit a 5" gun and the factory. They literally use the same factory RSA for the 5 and 4.25. there's no reason I can see to have one any longer than the factory because the system wouldn't utilize the extra length in any way other than a tiny bit of extra weight.
